Is dental pain the worst pain ever? Bonus question, are ALL dentists robbing c***s?

Last week my gum was slightly sore so started using bonjela and painkillers. Pain eased but then came back so thought I better book in to see the dentist.
Get to dentist and they do the normal check up, xrays and whatever else and according to them my gum is inflamed so I need to see a hygienist for a deep clean scale and polish. OK, why not, no harm done I guess ....
Next thing dentist tells me a crown I had done about 3 years ago is loose and cracked so she asks "any pain?" I answer "no" she says I should get a new crown to prevent FUTURE problems.
So from coming out of the dentist with mild tooth/gum pain I now have a bill next week for a new crown and hygienist so around 300 sovs
Dentists = c***s

When j had my vasectomy and wasn't given enough anaesthetic was worse than when I had tooth ache.
As was destroying my knee ligaments and subsequent operations and recovery.

Bizarrely I quite enjoy it and used to be fascinated by it all.
Never have anaesthetic as would rather have the pain than have that bloody annoying numbness and tingling when it comes back to normal.
Ear infection pain is worse.

Moose, my tooth issue happened mid jan.
I rung all the NHS dentists across Brentwood, Billericay, Pilgrims Hatch etc and NONE of them would accept an emergency without being registered. However to get registered I couldn't have an appointment for 3 months.

Why didn't you ask how much it was going to cost before getting it done? also, sign up for an NHS dentist, lot cheaper.

The term is "Dental Fitness" simple look after your teeth and visit the hygienist and dentist every 6 months.
Otherwise shit happens.

The most painful event of my life was kidney stones when I was working in China. I was put on a Morphine drip in a Dickensian type hospital in a room with scores of people on morphine drips
The gave me morphine tablets when I went home, as the hospital ultra sound team had left, with the advice don't take too many
The Morphine relaxed me and I pissed them out

Lumbar discectomy.
The basically open you up, remove the bits of disc that have escaped then put you back together. Easy peasey and 4wks off work.

3 of my wisdom teeth are fucked. One lower is impacted, both uppers grow "outwards" into the insides of my cheeks. Dentists took out one of them but are for some reason refusing to take out the other. The pain is rare and sporadic but fucking weird, seems more concentrated around the eye/temples than the mouth, and it is indeed horrid.
Had never had a problem with my teeth in my life until 3 years ago, the above problems were "dormant" and never played up.
Really do not envy those of us with real teeth issues.

Had about 20 fillings over the years, abscesses, root canals and a few pulled, not pleasant, Shane Macgowan has better hampsteads. Getting Salmonella was more painful, stomach cramps only stopped when they gave me a pain killing injection in my arris, though I was going to have a heart attack in A&E!

Bladder spasms after a blocked bladder... I now know why the windows in hospitals only open a few inches as I was gonna jump from the 7th floor
